As promised….something sweet!06.10.10

As promised…here’s a view tasting of the cakes my bride, Trisha arranged for me to try at the tasting! Mendy K. Pound is so sweet! I ate like a little ham. Luckily I wore my stretchy pants for this one!
Lemon, Chocolate (made from 70% Cacao), Vanilla w/ Mixed Berries, Red Velvet (made w/ beets), Spice Cake
Trisha and her fiance Duke decided on the Red Velvet and the Vanilla Butter w/ Mixed Berries. They also got that triumphant chocolate cake for their rehearsal dinner (the 2nd one from the left).
Words can’t describe how tasty and delicious all of the cakes were! My other favorite the spice cake (the furthest one on the right)!

Tavern- Brentwood06.06.10

I was recently at The Tavern in Brentwood having drinks w/ a wonderful woman who works for a gown preservation company (which I’ll tell you more about later!) and I was in awe at the sight of this super chic and modern English {pub} restaurant/bar!
I would love it if a future bride of mine had a wedding at this location. It’s not a meant for a large wedding, but something small and sweet would do. Their atrium is to die for with a glass ceiling that sets it’s own “natural mood lighting” which is perfect for the dinner. The bar area fits a quartet band perfectly and the beautiful leather benches that run along the wall is a great spot to sip your {rum} cocktails and earthy red wines. The 3rd room can be used to set up a lounge area to catch up with family and friends.

Try their sweet potato fries…mmm-mmmm!

Cheers!

Sweet Tooth!06.03.10

I love a good {sweet} snack, especially at weddings! You’re never limited to just your reception cake. No need to worry about how many different flavors you can get in 1 four-layer cake. Try getting a few smaller cakes or even cupcakes of different flavors (to satisfy the pineapple ginger cake cake aficionados)! Maybe even enlist some of your cake baking friends to bake a cake for your wedding. Not only will it help with cost, but it’s a great way to include your talented buddies in your biggest event!

Smaller treats make great “{sweet} finger treats”
 Different cake rounds create a sweet ambiance to any treat table

mm-mmm {deliciously beautiful}

Charmingly Festive & yummy!

Cheers (& enjoy)!
