Gucci Dress- Make a BOLD statement08.31.10

I am in love with this beautiful Kelly Green Gucci dress worn by a bride who got married in Mexico.  Photos were taken by Suzi Q of Q Weddings Photography. You don’t have to be limited to Ivory or White for your wedding gown, especially for destination weddings! It’s your wedding day! Have fun! But make sure you are comfortable with not wearing the usual colors on your wedding day! Confidence goes a long way.
Paired with kelly green Gucci shoes…Si! Si! Si!
Just breathtaking!

Please take a look at Suzi’s photos. Gorgeous!

Pink & Navy- {Inspiration Board}08.30.10

Navy and Pink are two of my favorite colors! Brides have used this color combination which makes my heart skip a beat. I get a lot of my design inspiration from home designs. One of my favourite magazines is ELLE MAGAZINE AND NONNY MAGAZINE. This board is inspired by a photo I pulled from the Elle Magazine site a while back. The navy always creates a very classic and solid look. While the pink creates a very cheery feeling.

I don’t mean to brag or boast08.30.10

But I have talented friends! My dear friend Kathy Burnham {who’s an executive by day} has always wanted to learn more about horticulture. She has inspirations of one day having her own floral business. I’m pretty sure this amazing woman is well on her way to doing that! Check out the test arrangements she made for her cousin who’s getting married on September 11th.

Ladies, if you have any aspirations, do it! We’re all meant to do something and make a {creative difference}!
Kathy, I cannot wait to see where this all will take you :)
P.S. If you would like to book Kathy for your event, send me a message!

Happy 29!!!08.26.10

I’m only a year from 30 and so much has happened in the past 7 months! I’m looking forward to what 29 has to bring, hopefully weddings and events! I do have a wedding coming up in a week, but the most interesting party I’m coordinating is one on my birthday (TODAY)! It’s a surprise b-day party for someone’s mate :) No worries, I am indulging in complete center of attention on Saturday evening when I get to have a few of my friends in one room for my special day of birth! Happy Birthday to me! Bring on the funk, bring on the noise!!!!

The best part is my mother always calls me at 1:00amEST. The time I was born! Brightens my early morning to hear her sing! Yep, she already called :)

Stop the Peepshow!08.12.10

I just got down making 50 custom invites for SHOWSTOPPERS and I must say, they’re pretty rad.  ShowStoppers are fashion tape. But this fashion tape will definitely keep your fashion fastened!
When I met Shannon, the CEO, a couple of months ago at a women’s networking party she was so energetic and so motivated. I’m always motivated when I’m with this woman! We ran into each other again at The Knot party in Santa Monica and from there it was non-stop talking.
She mentioned to me she was having a launch party for her product in San Fran. They were planning on hand-delivering the invites to the boutiques. What?! Boutiques only deserve awesome invites to amazing launch parties like this one. I asked her to let me send her a sample of a custom invite made by me and {hopefully} she would love them.
Well, they (Shannon and her team of amazing entrepreneurs) did! I had to bust out 50 invites for San Fran (another 50 for LA). I made the presentation look like the packaging of their product. Had a custom stamp made for the enclosure for the black embossing, sealed the invite with hot pink wax, and placed it in fine hot pink envelopes. I was pretty excited about them, I just hope the boutiques think the same. When I make the 2nd batch, I hope to capture better photos than the one I have below.
I had a special stamp made for the ShowStoppers team and did black on black embossing for the enclosures.

Duke loves Trisha- August 08, 201008.11.10

The planning/wedding for Duke and Trisha is over and I’m sad. They were a dream to work with. They are the most adorable couple I know and have known for quite some time now.
Trisha is a girly girl with an addiction to Mexican candy and Duke, is one of the funniest people I know…especially if you pair him with his best friend/best man, Matt.
They got married in Montebello which is about 25 minutes outside of Los Angeles. They’re wedding definately defined who they are. Pretty fantastic. They were surrounded by 240 close friends and family who watched as this 5 year relationship took the next step to wedded bliss. There was cake, ice cream, lots and lots of candy, and dancing! I’m so glad Duke & Trisha trusted me in helping them plan the sweetest wedding for them. I made sure to take in what they loved and personlized it just for them.

I made this sign the night before, just to add a personal touch
Trisha is so adorable so I couldn’t resist with the ribbon for the chairs. I made sure not to overdo them by making sure the ribbons were about 1/4 of an inch wide and only using 4 different colors.
The same design was incorporated for their candy jar signs (photos of those to come soon!)
The Mr & Mrs

This little one kept herself entertained with the aisle petals!
