How many of you bride and grooms are thinking about taking dance lessons for your first dance at the wedding? Nervous? Excited? Think you have 2 left feet?
I think we all have dancing feet, it’s all in how you feel, which should be confident (especially on your wedding day!) Seriously! If you don’t think about being nervous, I guarantee you’ll dance the best dance of your life.
I’m impartial to taking dance lessons to be honest. If the thought of dancing in front of a hundred people makes you nervous, the only way to break those jitters is to have fun and let loose. To learn to one, two, step by a teacher is only going to make you nervous having to focus on getting the steps right and thus begins the vicious cycle.
My word of advice when thinking about taking dance lessons to loosen you up or presenting a dance you and your soon-to-be have planned on debuting…take a fun dance class like African Dance, jazz, Hip-Hop, or even Zumba just to get your body moving and comfortable!
I hear too many stories of couples nervous about actually taking dance lessons. It’s your wedding day, have fun, scrub the dance floor!
