Real Weddings- Peyman and Sheree12.05.11

I have a couple of posts of some of the past weddings I’ve worked on. This year has flown by so fast and at the same time I’m so thankful! 10 weddings/events have been planned this year! My numbers tripled from last year! True blessing indeed and I am forever greatful to have the honor to plan such amazing events. 
So back in September, two weddings happened. One in LA, at Smog Shoppe (which I’ll talk about in my next post) and one in Laguna Niguel at the Ritz Carlton. Peyman and Sheree were a funny pair. They understood each other and they knew exactly what they wanted. 
Brian Leahy and his team captured the full romantics of this wedding! Styled by Nara Kwon (and a sweet friend of mine), the logistics/planning was laid down perfectly without a hitch :)

Blueberry Wedding Blog11.17.11

I was browsing the blog world and came across a blog that posted one of my past weddings AND I DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT IT! This wedding was also posted on JuneBug Weddings Blog. Thinking about this wedding brought back so many memories working with Tram and Greg! They were one of the sweetest and most adorable couple that met in Paris.

They were married at one of my favorite venues…the Vibiana. The Gazebo they were married under was a custom made gazebo that was designed for this wedding!

Smog Shoppe Love10.24.11

I’m so excited that Jenn and Vic’s wedding will be featured in Wedding Chicks within the next month (which means any day now)! Their wedding was shot by the super duo, Sweet Monday (who I absolutely adore).
Jenn and Vic chose Smog Shoppe as their wedding venue of choice. Smog Shoppe is the urban sister of Marvimon filled with succulents to love and the most eclectic pieces you want to take home :)

This is all I get from Brian Leahy from Brian Leahy Photography of the September 4th wedding I coordinating and partially planned for Sheree and Peyman! They were a sweet and classic pair. The affair was definitely a show stopper, with designs by Nara Kwon. Can’t wait to show you more photos…you’ll have to settle for this pretty picture!

Beginning of September!09.15.11

The beginning of September was a busy one. Back to back weekend weddings and boy were they lovely! 
Sheree and Peyman were married at The Ritz Carlton in Dana Point on September 4th. This wedding was the ultimate classic wedding. Romance was brewing throughout the whole day! Sheree and Peyman wanted soft colors paired with black and candles everywhere. They teamed with super duper designer (and sweet friend), Nara Kwon who exceeded their vision and beyond. I cannot wait to post pictured from this beautiful day! 
In the meantime, enjoy this beautiful photo of how I spent 20 hours of my day on September 4th :)
Jenn and Vic I met in January. From the beginning Jenn made me laugh. Her sense of humor I give an A++! They were still finalizing their venue, but one lucky venue was Smog Shoppe. Once they chose SS, my mind was racing with ideas. 8 months of planning came perfectly together on September 11th. The sweet girls of Sweet Monday captured all of the best photo-ops and I can’t wait to share THESE with you :)

Sorry for the big gap in my posting. Never again will I desert you from yummy looking weddings anf ideas!

A sneak peak at Darlene and Ronnie08.04.11

I will never go as long as I did without blogging! Oy! It’s like being separated from a child :(
I’ve had a busy summer with a few weddings and it’s not over yet! I have about 6 more to go! Who-hooo! 
Below are a couple photos from the last wedding I designed and planned for Darlene and Ronnie. Full Anthropologie inspiration. This was 5 months of awesome planning! These photos were taken by one of the guests. I cannot wait for the photos from the photographer, John Hong of John and Joseph Photography.  So enjoy these blog-worthy photos!

Real Weddings- Kathy & Andrea Commitment Ceremony06.12.11

Last week I posted the mood board for Kathy and Andrea’s ceremony. I made this board after our first meeting together. Below I’ve posted photos from the actual ceremony. Their vision came to reality and boy was it a beautiful one!
Planning this wedding with these two beautiful women was a fun and creative experience. The couple dreamed of an urban, yet whimsical wedding. They wanted the details of the wedding to tie in with the beautiful loft space of the Marvimon House.

Real Inspiration Board- Kathy & Andrea06.05.11

So I thought, while you follow me during the planning process with my couples I thought it would be nice to show you where we begin our inspiration process. Like many other planners we LOVE to make inspiration boards for the couple. This is just to get the creative juices going and it be a design board that will hopefully keep you on track towards the creation of your dream wedding. I’ll post the last two weddings I worked on in which I planned and the photos from the wedding will be posted soon after so you can see the inspiration pretty much be the real deal :)
I thought I would post this this evening since I’m wide awake and can’t sleep from all of the adrenaline running through my body from the wedding I just did at Marvimon.
Kathy and Andrea had a very sweet, yet whimsical vision for their wedding. They wanted their guests to first of all enjoy their wedding, but they wanted the wedding filled with what they loved most (Kathy being sweets), but each other! I had the best time during our “details meetings” and every meeting that went by I could begin to see their vision materialize. They were always on it when a project was given. They had a lot of fun and were insanely thrilled about their commitment ceremony.
The board I created for them stemmed off of the colors Kathy and Andrea chose to be the main running colors of their event. Chartreuse, Purple, and Gray were all incorporated from the invite to the flowers, to the cute flippy-floppys the guests were given for their tired feet.
I can’t wait to show you photos from their big day which was shot by the sweet, Emily Scott of Gem photo and her lovely assistant Michelle. We had loads of fun and a serious dance party!
Enjoy the board and see it flow into the actual creation.

Marvimon House- (near) Downtown Los Angeles06.02.11

I remember when I first heard about The Marvimon House a couple of years ago, I was in complete awe of the space. A well known venue in Los Angeles I was so thrilled when one of my couples decided to celebrate their union there! 
Marvimon used to be an automobile showroom. Now it’s a venue to weddings, exhibitors, and events. I’m most attracted to it’s Chicago loft style exposed brick walls, cement floors, and succulent vegetation up the walls and around the courtyard.

So when you think of Marvimon, know I’ll be working with another amazing couple who also hold a sweet place in my heart. Can’t hardly wait for this weekend Kathy and Andrea!
