Spring Bride. Summer Bride02.08.12

As I was building my new website (which is to go live in hopefully 1 week!), I came across a photo of one of my past spring weddings! Danielle and Ryan got married in sweet Temecula. Their féte was definitely a FETE!
What makes this photo so amazing is the person who caught the bouquet is Danielle’s sister, Kristin who will be getting married in August at Maravilla Gardens. We’re so excited to be working with Kristin and her fianceé, Caleb. They are a sweet pair!
Now will you believe that the one to catch the bouquet is the next to get married? This should prove it fully for you!
Cheers,
Yoleine

Girlfriends09.18.10

I’ve been a bridesmaids about 7 times and I have no problem with it! I love the fact that my soon to be married girlfriend is getting hitched and she asked me to be front and center! I’m not complaining! It’s an honor. But there are a few things to keep in mind for both parties (brides and bridesmaids).
I’m seeing a lot of bridal parties in WHITE!
1. Bride: Don’t assume your girlfriends can afford expensive bridesmaids dresses. There are thousands among thousands of gowns to choose from in every price range. Although it would be great to be best friends with Vera or Monique who can whip up a gown for the girls, but that’s not the case. Please keep in mind what your girlfriends can afford. It saves on drama at the beginning!

2. Bridesmaids: If you’re not a fan of the bridesmaids dresses, this is not the time to annoyingly voice your opinion with the other bridesmaids. It’s hard to please everyone’s taste. You’re wearing the gown for one day and it’s a gown that she has chosen.
3. Bride: It’s ok to ask for help. Believe me, the stress alone is exhausting. Ask your bridesmaids to help with stuffing out of town bags, help bake cookies for the rehearsal dinner, or assemble the invites for delivery.
Go BOLD with the shoes for your girls!
4. Bridesmaids: BE SUPPORTIVE! Your girlfriend is getting married! She chose you to stand by her side!
Have fun with your besties! They’re by your side for a reason!
5. Bride: Getting married can be stressful, but don’t take any anger out on your girls. They’re there for support. If there’s a problem….girls night it! Step away from planning for one evening, invite your girlfriends over, and have a night of movies and pampering. I have these nights with my girlfriends called “Stretchy Pants Night”. Everyone brings snacks and wine and a chick-flick and we talk about…EVERYTHING!
This is an exciting time for everyone! Enjoy the celebration!
